I have identified eight Silent Signals™ of Success, signals sent by successful people. We will spend one tele-coaching session on each signal.  For each of the signals, we will work with you to discover whether you are sending those signals, and how you can enhance the signals you are sending. You will discover ideas that you can use to change. For good.

We will challenge you to assess yourself and the signals you already send. Then you decide what you will do differently to become even more successful.And you can work on these in the weeks in between our sessions.

This will be a building process. Just think of all the positive changes you’ll make in a year’s time. What a celebration that will be!

1:  Excellence Mindset

This signal lays the foundation for all success.  When we talk about an excellence mindset, we're talking about the personal foundation that people have that strives towards excellence.  This includes traits such as honesty, integrity, adding value, being authentic, being trustworthy...  To be successful, you've got to have a base that others admire and trust.  People with an excellence mindset have an altruistic view towards all pursuits.  Their etiquette and respect for others is impeccable.  They are authentic -- they are true to themselves, and true to others.  People with an excellence mindset devote themselves towards continuous improvement; they are always working to learn more and to add more value. Their handshake is gold. An excellence mindset means a positive, caring, honest foundation. And it is the foundation of success.

2:  Self Ownership

The silent signal of self ownership is one that is based on extreme self confidence.  People with self ownership unconditionally love themselves, and accept their minor imperfections.  They take responsibility for their lives and their actions.  People with self ownership are not needy.  The decisions they make are based on a clear assessment of the facts, and are not clouded by other needs.  Self ownership means that you are “comfortable in your own shoes."  They own their own attitudes.  By living in the moment, they have a positive outlook on life that comes from a satisfaction within.  Self ownership involves passion for just about everything they do.  It allows authentic happiness.

 3:  Priority Focus

Having a priority focus deals with a person's ability to set the right priorities, and manage his or her life.  By establishing a vision and mission for your life, you have a target to seek.  Driven by setting goals, and celebrating the achievement of those goals, this signal is an obvious enabler of success.  Being priority focused involves having life balance.  And balance enables energy for the various pursuits in a person's life.  Managing time well is a silent signal that someone will be successful.  When the tasks of the day are congruent with the larger career and life goals, success can be reached more easily. Defining the vision for one’s life breeds success in that pursuit.

4:  Communication Savvy

To be successful, people need to communicate.  They need to sell ideas, run great meetings that get things done, negotiate, and get along with others.  They need to be able to communicate via the written word as well.  Strong public speaking skills are a silent signal of success, as people can be drawn to whatever message or cause is being articulated.  The ability to make friends and get along with business associates is absolutely key to the attainment of success, and communication is at the base of this signal.  Your communication will be consistent, and congruent with who you are. 

5:  Influence Mastery

The ability to influence others is a very important silent signal of success.  This involves the ability to lead others—Leadership.  When people are “other directed", their ability to get things done through people is strong.  Those who have the ability to influence others are able to build communities.  They are consensus builders. They provide the energy to the people involved in what ever task is at hand.  Influence mastery involves recognizing accomplishments of others to encourage their repeat.  People will be attracted to the influential person, which can enable success. Successful people influence others for their own benefit.

6:  Networking Brilliance

Networking brilliance enables success through mutually beneficial relationships.  This involves having a reciprocal network that is beneficial for all parties involved.  Networking brilliance means having a referral engine, which means many sources of touch.  By being connectors, they help others achieve their success.  These people value relationships, build alliances and stay in touch with others.  They serve as mentors, and help bring other people along. Their network is as good to them as they are to it.  And it works because it is altruistic and other directed.

 7:  Change Exuberance

People who are successful embrace change.  They see opportunity in the changes about them, and seek to make the best of they are new future.  It can be said that they embrace change.  These people are curious, and excited about the future.  They don't feel victimized by the changes that are happening to them; they seek opportunity.  Change exuberance involves being excited about the future, and optimistic about the world.  With an intuitive look towards the future, these people shine above others who resist change.  They embrace change.

8:  Action Aptitude

Taking action is perhaps the most important of the silent signals. Without taking action, none of the other signals can be effective.  A person with an action aptitude creates his or her own opportunities.  These people can be relied upon to do what is the promised -- every time.  Goal attainment is regular.  Those with an action aptitude don't quote just talk about it" -- they do it. They believe that they can do it, and they do. Nothing happens without action. So, successful people engage action—on their paths to success

The journal is set up in fifty-two weekly segments. For each week, there is a page of intriguing challenges, followed by pages on which you can complete your ideas, thoughts, and progress.
