How Well Do You Manage Change?

Leaders manage change
They understand what needs to change and why
Then they spend time, effort and caring to help others embrace the change

10 SECOND REALITY CHECK
Do you understand that others accept changes at different rates?
Do you see managing change as managing perceptions and emotions?
Do you just assume that people will understand why a change is good?
Do you take time to HEAR people's fears and concerns?

How people embrace change is an individual thing...
Reaction to change is a mental process
You can help people change by understanding their frames of reference (not just yours)
Then care enough to communicate with them, and have them communicate with you... alot!

SO WHAT WILL YOU DO DIFFERENTLY?


Understand that people handle changes at different rates and in different ways.
Get into others' "frames of reference"
Care about those who are affected
Take time to share with them, and let them share with you
That's what leaders do...
